Clarity Centre has developed a training program for personnel involved in working in confined
spaces. The program is designed to provide hands-on experience for working in low risk confined
spaces.


Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces is a Level 2 qualification for personnel entering confined spaces
to perform work.


Course Overview


Working in Low Risk Confined Spaces provides the knowledge and skills required for working safely
in confined spaces that present low levels of risk, particularly for those working alone. The course
focuses on confined spaces that are unlikely to experience flooding and have adequate ventilation.


Low risk confined spaces typically have entry points no deeper than three meters and can include
meter pits, valve chambers, booster-pumping stations, and PRV chambers.


Delegates will gain practical experience in using fall arrest and retrieval equipment, as well as
learning appropriate ladder climbing techniques for accessing and exiting confined spaces safely.


The course is delivered through a combination of theoretical and practical elements, with a focus on
providing hands-on experience.
